Risaralda is one of three departments that comprise Colombia’s Coffee Triangle — the heart and soul of Colombia’s
coffee industry. Coffee production in Risaralda has a rich history and dates back to the mid 1800’s.
Due to the area’s climatic, topographical, and ecological compatibility for growing coffee, Risaralda has become a coffee epicenter. Coffee swiftly transformed into more than just an economic driver as it evolved and intertwined with society and tradition to become a cultural cornerstone in Risaralda.
We sourced this coffee through our friends at Cereza Coffee, who have been on the ground for years, forging strong relationships with our coffee producing partners in Risaralda. While the landscape may have evolved, with mules giving way to omnipresent Willy trucks, the picturesque coffee towns perched high in the Andes remain timeless, consistent as the coffees they produce
